15 Hamburger Topping Ideas

May 24, 2016 by Dawn Pasco

15 hamburger topping ideas

May is National Hamburger Month and my family loves a good juicy hamburger.  I’ve created a list of 15 hamburger topping ideas to get you thinking out of the box.  Ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion are great standbys, but why not take your burger to the next level and add some new toppings which will enhance your enjoyment of a good burger?

Lately I’ve been eating a lot of Morningstar Chipotle Black Bean Burgers with avocado and salsa on top. They’re delicious, but there are times I crave the real thing. My daughter loves cream cheese on her hamburgers and I’m a big fan of blue cheese on a burger.

I found this roundup of 7 over-the-top grilled burgers from Delish.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to hamburger toppings.  If you’re entertaining over the Memorial Day weekend you could set up a hamburger topping station and let your guests have fun creating their own hamburger masterpiece.

What’s your favorite hamburger toppings? Did I forget something?

Yum!!! I love the same black bean burgers by Moringstar too in fact I looked up on Pinterest how to make my own black bean burger, it’s on my list to make. I have always wanted to try peanut butter on my hamburger.

Lauren has tried the peanut butter and likes it. Anne’s family does too, but that’s one I’m not able to do! I had a bite and I love peanut butter, but not on a burger.
