Fun Finds

November 28, 2012 by Dawn Pasco

I learned about the website postrgram from a blog I follow called fatmumslim. On the website postrgram you can covert all of your instagram photos into a poster mosaic.  All you need is at least 50 photos. I thought this would make a unique gift for the instagram lover.  Instagram is the rage right now, especially with my daughter and her friends.  I question a few of the pictures I’ve seen on instagram, but like anything else there is a good and a bad way to share.  I have the instagram app on my phone and have used it a few times, but haven’t gotten into the craze just yet.

My next fun find comes from Louise at 30s magazine.  Louise’s craftiness never ceases to amaze me.  She shares an imaginative and playful take on an Advent wreath. You can click here to find instructions on how to make this adorable terrarium/advent wreath.  I have several friends who enjoy making fairy gardens, and I thought this might be something they would enjoy.  One last thing I’d like to share that I also discovered through Louise is an online magazine called Sweet Paul.  I prefer to look at a printed copy of a magazine, but my magazine stash is out of control.  The photography is beautiful (think Martha Stewart) and you can check it out by clicking here.

I thought you might like the fun take on an advent wreath. It reminded me of a fairy garden.

I LOVE the Sweet Paul ‘magazine’! I wish I had the patience to make the little advent garden. My girls used to make fairy gardens, one even made a fairy nativity for Christmas one year! Now, I just enjoy looking at what other people make. Thanks for sharing!
