Live Curiously Weekly

August 10, 2016 by Dawn Pasco

live curiously weekly

This live curiously post is inspired by back to school month.  I share things to make, eat, drink, explore, inspire, discuss, watch and reflect on. Whether if you are a mom who is sending kids off to school this month or an empty nester, I hope you enjoy my finds and a few things that make you smile.

To Make:  DIY Homework Station

homework station

I love this idea for an office or homework station especially if you are short on space.

To Eat: PB & J Bars with Strawberry Jam

Back to school equates to lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  These PB & J bar cookies would make a nice after school snack.

To Drink: Green Smoothies

My kids were never big breakfast eaters, but might occasionally drink a smoothie house of jack casino review.  Simple Green Smoothies is one of my go to sites for smoothie recipes. I love this chart which shows different options on how to make your smoothie more of a meal replacement.

To Inspire: 9 Inspiring Thoughts for Back to School

9 inspiring thoughts for back to school

I share a few lessons I’ve learned and words of wisdom in this back to school inspired post.

To Explore: Amazing Glamping Destinations in the USA

Glamping-Destinations

Now that the kids are back to school you may want to plans a girls weekend. If you’re more of a glamper than a camper like me, check out some of these cool glamping destinations.

To Discuss: This quote from the Happy Dammit Daily

Not Salmon Quote

This quote arrived in my inbox a few weeks ago and I immediately shared it with a few friends.  It’s a great reminder to girls of all ages!

To Watch: Mr. Selfridge

I’ve been binge watching Mr. Selfridge on Amazon Prime Video. My family traveled to England two years ago and there were two couples on our tour who nicknamed us the Selfridges.  I wasn’t familiar with the show and didn’t know if I should take it as a compliment. I see a few physical similarities, but we are by no means the Selfridges.  Harry Gordon Selfridge was an American businessman who brought the idea of merchandising and shopping for pleasure to London, England back in 1909.  If you were a fan of Downton Abbey, I think you’ll love this show as well.  While the kids are in school enjoy a little “me” time watching Mr. Selfridge.

To Reflect: Let Your Individuality Shine & Own It

Mia's School Picture

A few years ago, I shared a story about my neighbor Mia who wore her kitty cat ears for her school picture. It’s inspiration for mother’s like me who like to have more creative control.  If you clicked on my 9 Inspiring Thoughts post this is one of them.
