My Most Popular Posts of 2014

January 8, 2015 by Dawn Pasco

I don’t know about you, but it always takes me a few weeks into January before I’m re-energized and ready to take on the New Year.  I’ve spent a few days reflecting on last year and thinking about my goals for this blog in 2015.  I started Joyful Scribblings in February of 2012 and as of today have published 550 posts. Below are my top 10 most viewed posts of 2014.

top 10 posts of 2014

If you ever have some time to kill and are new to my blog you can search through my archives on the right side of this blog.  Just click on a month and it will bring up posts for that month.  There are a few posts that were my favorites that aren’t listed in this roundup such as How Tortellini Soup Warmed My Soul and Smiles Are Priceless.  They are stories that make SMILE.

Unfortunately stories that make me smile don’t bring in the most pageviews, but I will continue to share them when I’m inspired. Despite the fact that I don’t love to cook, recipes are my most popular posts and Pinterest is my biggest source of traffic which makes sense why recipes get the most views.  Even though I don’t love cooking, I love good food and I’m in charge of preparing meals for my family.  I also love to collect recipes and I especially love recipes that are easy.  I also have a few friends that love to cook and share their recipes with me from time to time.

As I collect ideas for posts in 2015. I’d love to know what are some of your favorite posts? What would you like to see more of?  I personally am bombarded with emails every day so my plan is to post three times a week or sometimes maybe even just two.  I will continue to share things on my Facebook Page, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter accounts.  Social media can be very time-consuming, but it has helped my blog grow.  I tripled my pageviews this year, but I still have a long way to go to where I’d like to be.  Any time you share, pin, tweet or like a post it really helps me and I greatly appreciate it.

I’m grateful you take the time to read my joyful scribblings and without further adieu I give you my Top 10 Most Viewed Posts of 2014.

Love them all! Just reminded me I need to make the “Bombs” again for my boy’s and their football games. They are a great snack for game time grazing:)

Love all your post Dawn. I love your Tortellini story as I was there when that happened;) Your pictures are amazing. you are very talented. I need to be better about learning my camera features. The last picture of the cookies with heart chocolates is a reminder that our next holiday is coming quickly……gotta make those!
