Snap 2014

 

I’m heading to Salt Lake City, Utah today for a blog conference called SNAP.  This will be my first time attending the conference.  You might recall I attended BlogHer13 this past summer with my partner in crime Cathy who blogs at Creations by Cathy.   I’m excited to learn new things about how to help my blog grow, but I’m even more excited to meet some of the other bloggers that I follow like KariAnne and Cheryl.  Many of the DIY, crafters and entertaining bloggers attend SNAP. In other words, I will be surrounded by Martha Stewarts.  I’ve written about why I’m not a DIY Diva, but I find joy in crafting, decorating and being around creativity.   I also enjoy human interaction.  I can get consumed  in my own little world with writing, pinning things, editing photos and reading blogs.  Before I know it it’s noon and I’m still in my pajamas.  While it’s fun to see what people are up to on social media, I would much rather communicate with them in person (at least most of the time).  There are times when a text or email is easier than facing a person, but technology can never replace the joy that comes from the human experience.

I’ll be taking a little break from posting on my blog, but you can follow my adventures at SNAP 2014 on Facebook and Instagram.  I’ll be sure to post lots of photos.  This year World Market is giving away gift cards to bloggers who post their photo booth pictures on Instagram.  Cathy won the Shark vacuum giveaway last year which was rightfully earned after dancing with a flamboyantly clad lad and a vacuum cleaner.  I’m not much into vacuuming, but I could find plenty of things to spend money on at World Market.
