Do you know your decorating style? While looking for ideas on organizing my home I came across a blog post from 7th House on the Left. Have I mentioned I’m easily distracted? The post mentioned Home Goods’ Stylescope quiz and I’m a sucker for any quiz that reveals something about your personality. I also happen to love Marshall’s/ Home Goods. The quiz asks you to pick out five images from a collage and then the brains/computer behind Stylescope kicks out a decorating style based upon the images you’ve chosen.

My results classified me as New Country. According to HomeGoods Stylescope, “New Country understands the value of slowing down, enjoying the sunsets, bringing the outside in, and feeling a real sense of relaxation in her space. She is laidback, but her style is still intentional and beautiful in its rustic elegance. New Country homes have a very natural ease, but they’re not their grandmothers’ old-fashioned country homes. Warm, nature-inspired hues blend with brighter, contemporary elements for an updated country look.” I sort of new that my style leaned toward a more contemporary country look. I love just about everything from Pottery Barn. What’s neat about the results is they even list decorating blogs that match your style.

I think horses are so beautiful. The only problem is I’m a little afraid of them 🙂 I’ve ridden one before, but it’s not in my comfort zone.

I’m going to take the quiz too. I always thought I was traditional but I sure like New Country. I’d like to simplify and bring the outside in too but where to start….

I’m classic, which doesn’t surprise me. But I laugh at it’s description, because the description is not me at all! “Classic knows there’s a place for everything—and everything belongs in its place. I took the quiz and my style is…Socialite with a touch of BOHO. So, I think that basically my style is confused. 🙂 The descriptions say I like designer things…and can’t resist a bargain. Both true! But it also says that I am into high fashion…have you seen what I wear every day?? So, I took the quiz again and got…the same thing! 🙂
