Martin City Brewing Company

April 25, 2013 by Dawn Pasco

Martin City Brewery

After shopping at Charm my friend Angela and I decided to check out a new place for lunch.  We drove past a quaint brick building close to the train tracks in Martin City and saw that it was a brew pub.  Neither of us like beer, but the staff at Charm said they had great food.  Martin City Brewing Company’s offers small plates, sandwiches, salads, burgers and specialty mac n cheese plates.

According to our waiter, 435 South Magazine voted their burger the best in the area.  I was going to go with the burger, but the fried goat cheese salad sounded good to me.  Angela ordered the reuben sandwich and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal.  Shopping has a way of making me hungry.  For those of you who like beer, they offer 50 different brews as well as beer on tap.  Martin City Brewing Company also has an outdoor beer garden to enjoy when the weather cooperates.  The atmosphere has a laid back neighborhood feel to it that makes you want to hang out and sit a spell.  We both decided we’d be back and invite our husbands the next time.  Martin City Brewing Company is located at 500 E. 135th St., Kansas City, Missouri 64145.

That’s where I had my 50th Birthday Party 🙂 And… you were just around the corner from me 🙂 Maybe we can meet there next time – I still haven’t been to Charm. They have been closed the times I’ve gone by!

Chris remembered your 50th was there, but we weren’t able to make it. Loved the place. Charm is only open the third weekend of every month. We should definitely meet at Martin City Brewery sometime.

Dawn, I was just there last Thursday with 2 friends, we stopped by after going to Charm also. We split the chips and salsa and quesedillas (probably spelled wrong) they were both very good. Lets get together soon!!

[…] Martin City Brewery is located in a little brick building  next to the railroad tracks.  It’s not very big, but it has a nice beer garden where you can sit outside during the warmer months.  I’ve only been there a few times, but one of my favorite things on the menu is the fried goat cheese salad.
