Favorite Trader Joe’s Items

Favorite Trader Joe's Picks

Favorite Trader Joe’s Picks by dpasco on Polyvore
I haven’t done a Trader Joe’s post in a while and thought it was time to share a few of my favorite things from their store.
  1. Dorot Chopped Basil–  These frozen cubes of basil are perfect for throwing into sauces or soups.  I usually have fresh basil growing in a pot during the summer months, but the weather in Kansas doesn’t allow for year round growing unless you bring it in inside.  I love the ease and convenience of these frozen cubes.
  2. Coconut Body Butter-  My friend Mary suggested I try the Coconut Body Butter Cream and it didn’t disappoint.  This cream is rich and luxurious filled with coconut oil, vitamin E and shea butter.  It feels great on your skin and is a steal at roughly $5 a container.
  3. Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip– My friend Christine served this at a party I attended and it’s delicious with vegetables or crackers.  Some dips can be loaded with calories, but this one is only 30 calories for two tablespoons.
  4. Island Soyaki– This has become a staple in my house.  It’s a unique blend of soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic, ginger and sesame seeds.  It’s almost grill season in Kansas.  I love to marinate pork chops in the soyaki and cook them on the grill during the summer months.

If you are interested in seeing other Trader Joe finds click here. I hope you enjoy my favorite picks.  What are some of your favorite items from Trader Joe’s?

They’ve got some great items that are their own brand. The prices aren’t bad either. Let me know if you check it out.

I forgot about that one. That is a good one too paired with Spicy Buffalo Wheat Thins. Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure I wrote a post about it.
