Chez Elle

Chez Elle

Tropicale Crepe from Chez Elle Creperie

latte love

Chez Elle Creperie and Coffeehouse makes you feel like you’ve been whisked away to Paris, France.  I stumbled upon Chez Elle a few years ago after antiquing in the West Bottoms of Kansas City.   The architecture of the building took me by surprise because it’s not the type of building you see every day in the Kansas City area or in my little Johnson County bubble.  I had stopped by for a coffee and pastry, but hadn’t eaten there until right before the holidays.  Chez Elle serves fresh, made from scratch sweet and savory crepes.  They also offer gluten free, vegan and buckwheat batters.  Naturally I went with the sweet tropicale crepe and it didn’t disappoint.  It tasted as good as it looks in the picture.  My friend and I shared our crepes.  She chose a savory one and it was delicious as well.  I love splitting meals with people so I can try more than one thing.  There are some people who don’t like to split.  My eyes are often bigger than my stomach (although that seems to be getting bigger too with age).  You can find their website and menu by clicking here.  Chez Elle is located at 1713 Summit St. in Kansas City, Missouri.

We love Chez Elle. And unfortunately, I never share. The Tropicale is beautiful! I may try it next time. If you didn’t have enough Crepe, their coconut macaroons are AMAZING for dessert!
