What parent that celebrates Christmas doesn’t want to have at least one picture of their child with Santa?  For $25 you can get your picture taken with Santa and your images and a copyright release to reprint will be emailed to you.  The money goes toward a good cause and you don’t have to wait in line at a crowded mall.  A friend of mine lost her son Matt to a brain stem tumor on September 21, 2010.  I didn’t know Matt, but his mother Shari is one of the warmest and funniest people I know.  I can’t imagine the horrible pain of losing a child, but despite all of her pain Shari still has a spark inside her that shines brightly.   Carol White of Bliss Photography is hosting a Pictures with Santa, raffle drawing and silent auction to benefit Matt’s Clubhouse.  Matt’s Clubhouse is a foundation to raise funds to help other families facing the same tough battle Shari’s family did.  Shari says, “Matt was a loving and caring person who wanted to create a haven for other pediatric brain tumor patients and their families.  He envisioned a house where they could stay, relax and not worry about anything.  Our goal is to have a clubhouse on the beach in San Diego.  Matt loved walking the shore with his Dad every morning while we were in San Diego, California.  Also, we are working on doing something locally with the KC Royals & KC Chiefs. All of the money raised goes directly towards Matt’s Clubhouse Foundation.”   Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend the event this year, but it’s a great way to spread joy!  Bliss Photography is located at 15489 Quivira Rd., Overland Park, Kansas.   They will be open for pictures between 10 am and 4:00 pm.
